WI 10th Inf Co H. Residence: Columbia County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Age 22. Unmarried. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’7½”. Enlisted for three years on 16 Sep 1861 at New Lisbon, Grant County, Wisconsin. Mustered 5 Oct 1861 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Private. Took part in the battles of Perryville, Kentucky, 8 Oct 1862, Stone’s River, Tennessee, 31 Dec 1862, and Chickamauga, Georgia, 20 Sep 1863. Taken prisoner at Chickamauga.
