TX 11th Inf Co B. CSA. Born “Terje Andersen Berge” on 15 Jun 1832 in Holt, Norway. Civil War: Enlisted for one year on 10 Feb 1862 at Tyler, Texas. Private. Transferred on 22 May 1863 to the 4th Texas Field Battery, also known as the Van Dorn Light Artillery, previously called Mechling’s-Haldeman’s Texas Battery. Absent on detached service at Taylor Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana, from 28 May 1863 until the end of the war.
