WI Detachment of Deserters. Civil War: Age 37. Drafted to serve for one year on 28 Sep 1864 at Prairie du Chien, Crawford County, Wisconsin. Failed to report on 8 Oct 1864, but surrendered himself on 8 May 1865 at Boscobel, Wisconsin, under the Presidential Proclamation of 11 Mar 1865. Discharged from the service 15 May 1865.
