WI 11th Inf Co K. Residence: Winchester, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Born about 1837 in Norway. Civil War: Farmer. Age 27. Married. Blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion, 5’8”. Volunteer Recruit. Enlisted for three years on 22 Feb 1864 at Green Bay, Wisconsin. Mustered there the same day. Bounty $300. Private. Took part in the Red River campaign in 1864. Died of disease in a regimental hospital at Brashear City, Louisiana, on 4 Oct 1864.
