WI 10th Inf Co C. Residence: Menasha, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Born about 1842 in Norway, a son of Niles and Maria Bronson. Civil War: Age 20. Unmarried. Gray eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’9”. Enlisted for three years on 30 Sep 1861 at Menasha. Mustered 7 Oct 1861 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Private. Mustered out 3 Nov 1864. Post war: Married in Winnebago County on 15 Jun 1868 to Emilada O. Knapp. From 1888 until at least 1908, Bronson (then spelled Brunson) was living in Waupaca, Waupaca County.
