BROWN, Peter
TX. CSA. Born “Peter Olai Brun Abrahamsen” in Flekkefjord, Vest Agder, Norway, on 18 Feb 1842, son of Abraham Ommundsen Brun and Maria Kjeldsdatter Lostrup. Came to America with his parents and seven siblings on “Favoriten”, which sailed from Stavanger, Rogaland, on 16 May 1849 and arrived in New York 28 Jun 1849, but was held in quarantine until 4 July. They came to Illinois, stopping briefly, and then went to Lee County, Iowa. By 1851, they had moved to Texas, and by 1854, were in Henderson County. Civil War: May have died during the war.
