CHRISTENSEN, Christian T.
NY 1st Inf Co I. Residence: Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. Born in Denmark. Civil War: Age 29. Along with Hans Balling, he organized the two Scandinavian Companies, I and K, in this regiment. Commissioned First Lieutenant. Rose to Captain, Major and aide de camp. Post war: He became president of the Brooklyn Trust Company and Brigadier General of the New York National Guard.
