WI 3rd Inf Co I. Born in Norway. Civil War: Shoemaker. Age 19. Blue eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, 5’2¼”. Enrolled for one year at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 7 Sep 1864 as a substitute for [unreadable due to overtape]. Mustered at Milwaukee the same day. Private.
