WI 22nd Inf Co B. Residence: Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Age 22. Farmer. Unmarried. Blue eyes, light hair, dark complexion, 5’8½”. Enlisted for three years on 15 Aug 1862 at Beloit. Mustered 1 Sep 1862 at Racine, Wisconsin. Private. Discharged from the service for disability on 4 May 1863 at Nashville, Tennessee. Post war: Granted a pension of $12 a month because of a gunshot wound to his head. Pension #80,675.
