He came to America in 1847 to Winneconne Township, Winnebago County. Married, date unknown, to Turine Olsdatter. Eight children. Civil War: Farmer. Age 42. Blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion, 5’7”. Enlisted for three years on 29 Feb 1864 at Green Bay, Wisconsin. Bounty: $300. Private. Recruit. Mustered out 4 Sep 1865.
