US Navy. Born 26 Nov 1882 in Turnour, Norway. Spanish-American War: Age 20. Entered service in Mar 1903 at Dell Rapids, South Dakota. Hospital App-1, serving on the USS Franklin. Discharged 26 Mar 1907. Post war: Died at age 26 on 16 Apr 1908 at Dell Rapids because of pulmonary tuberculosis. Buried in Dell Rapids Cemetery, lot 23, block 4, grave 2.
