Enlisted for three years on 12 Aug 1862 at Milwaukee and mustered there on 22 Aug 1862. Bonus paid $25. Private. Was in the battles of Perryville and Stone’s River. Wounded and taken prisoner at Stone’s River, 31 Dec 1862. Exchanged. Promoted to Corporal on 4 Jan 1863. Discharged from the service at Annapolis, Maryland, on 18 Mar 1863.
