Enlisted for three years on 4 Jan 1864 at Stockholm and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, on 16 Mar 1864. Private. Joined I Company at McDonald’s Station. Sick in division hospital in August 1864. Temporarily assigned to the Wisconsin 24th Infantry on 13 Feb 1865. Transferred to Company I of the Wisconsin 13th Infantry on 10 Jun 1865. Mustered out 24 Nov 1865.
