SD Inf Co A. Born 25 Jan 1879 in Sweden. Came to America in 1884. Spanish-American War: Age 20. Entered service on 25 Apr 1898 at Pierre, South Dakota. Private. Discharged 5 Oct 1899. Was in a hospital due to injury to his leg. Post war: Died of heart failure at age 30 on 18 Sep 1909 at Pierre. Buried in Riverside Cemetery at Pierre, in annex, lot 12, section I, grave 5.
