WI 22nd Inf Co I. Residence: Clinton, Rock County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Farmer. Unmarried. Age 19. Enlisted for three years on 15 Aug 1862 at Clinton. Mustered 1 Sep 1862 at Camp Utley, Racine, Wisconsin. Private. Was accidentally shot through his left hand at Murfreesboro, Tennessee on 30 Aug 1863. Returned to his company on 9 Dec 1863.
