WI 15th Inf Co D. Residence: Strong’s Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin. Born in Sandsvær, Norway. Civil War: Age 34. Married. Enlisted for three years on 28 Oct 1861 at New Lisbon, Wisconsin, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 8 Dec 1861. Corporal. Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 28 Nov 1863. Transferred to the 68th Indiana Regiment 1 Feb 1864. Came back to the Wisconsin 15th on 2 Apr 1864. Suffered a minor wound in his head at New Hope Church on 27 May 1864. Mustered out with D Company on 13 Feb 1865 at Chattanooga.
