WI Lt Arty 13th Battery. Born in Norway. Civil War: Age 20. Sailor. Unmarried. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’8”. Enlisted for three years on 17 Oct 1863 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mustered there on 4 Nov 1863. Private. Discharged from the service 17 Jun 1864 at New Orleans, Louisiana, under special orders transferring him to the Navy. Sources: (WHS red book vol 5)
