MN Born 31 Mar 1835 (or 1841) in Norway. Came to America with his parents in 1857 to Green County, Wisconsin. Moved to Freeborn County, Minnesota in 1859. Civil War: Private. Post war: Married Anna Johnson in 1866. Children. After the war, he became postmaster at Albert Lea, Minnesota. Member of the Minnesota Senate 1873.
