US Army. South Dakota Medical Department, Fort Riley, Kansas. Born 2 May 1892 in Denmark, son of Peter Jorgensen and Christinia. First World War: Age 25. Entered the Army on 4 Mar 1918 at DeSmet, South Dakota. Private. Discharged 26 Jul 1918 at Fort Des Moines, Iowa. Post war: Died 2 Dec 1931 at age 39 at Madison, South Dakota, of injuries suffered when he was hit by a falling tree. He is buried in the Oldham, South Dakota, Cemetery, block 4, lot 1, grave 9.
