KINGLAND, Torbjorn
Born 9 Mar 1832 in Vinje, Telemark, Norway, son of Thor Thorbjornsen Kingeland and Aslaug Alfdatter Wommertvedt. He came with his parents and four siblings on “Jupiter”, which arrived in Boston on 9 Aug 1847. They came to Christiana Township, Dane County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Private. Post war: Lived at Stoughton, Wisconsin. Kingland never married. He died 24 Oct 1919 and is buried in the West Koshkonong Cemetery near Stoughton. Sources: (Naeseth ’47-253) Rootsweb.com.
