Enlisted for three years on 14 Feb 1862 at Cedar River, Wisconsin. Mustered 22 Feb 1862 at Chicago. Private. Re-enlisted as a Veteran for three years on 25 Feb 1864 at Camp Jessie, New Creek, West Virginia. Mustered there the same day. Bounty $400. In hospital at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, on 25 Jan 1865. Mustered out 10 Jul 1865 at Chicago, Illinois.
