Born Peder Aasuldsen Løvaasen about 1841. From Arendal, Aust Agder, Norway. He, his parents and five siblings sailed from Grimstad, Norway, on the Louise Caroline on 17 Sep 1846. They sailed to Havre, France, where they transferred to the Isette, which took them to New Orleans, arriving there on 11 Jan 1847. They traveled to Buchanon County, Missouri. Civil War: Private.
