IL 45th Inf Co C. Born in Norway. Civil War: Cooper. Age 21. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’8”. Enlisted for two years on 14 Aug 1864 at Chicago as a substitute for Caleb Clark of Chicago. Mustered there the same day. Private.
