WI 27th Inf Co K. Residence: Manitowoc, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Born in Sleswig, Denmark. Civil War: Age 32. Farmer. Blue eyes, brown hair, light complexion, 5’9”. Enlisted for three years on 19 Sep 1864 at Manitowoc. Mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 7 Oct 1864. Absent sick in the general hospital at Mobile, Alabama, since 18 Apr 1865. Mustered out at Greenville, Louisiana, 8 Jun 1865. Post war: In 1880, he was granted a pension of $4 a month because of chronic diarrhea.
