US Navy. Residence: Everett, Washington. Born 1907 in Steinsdalen, Norway, to Svein and Lena Melhus. Came to America at age 22 and worked in a lumber mill. Second World War: Drafted. Served in the US Navy for three years on a troop carrier. Post war: Worked for Weyerhauser Lumber. In 1947, he married Mary. Funeral 4 Aug 2001.
