MN 10th Inf Co E. Residence: Bancroft Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota. Born in Norway. Civil War: Married, three children in 1860. Age 32. Enrolled 16 Aug 1862. Mustered 13 Oct 1862. Private. Discharged from the service for disability, 7 Aug 1863. Post war: In June 1882, he was awarded a monthly pension of $4.00 a month for injuries to his back and hip. Died 6 Dec 1885.
