Promoted to Corporal, 27 Feb 1865. Discharged from the service with the Company, 27 Sep 1865. Post war: Died of apoplexy at age 57 on 7 Mar 1887 at Bruce, South Dakota, and is buried in Hillside Cemetery at Volga, South Dakota. Widow Anne Christine Carlson.
