Enrolled as a substitute for one year on 22 Aug 1864 at La Crosse, Wisconsin, and mustered the same day. Bounty $100. Enrollment credited to Onalaska, Wisconsin. Private. He was in the battles of Nashville 15 & 16 Dec 1864, and Spanish Fort Apr 1864. Mustered out 15 Aug 1865 at Montgomery, Alabama.
