PAULHOUGEN, Amund
Born “Amund Martinsen Paulhougen” on 24 Sep 1830 at Østre Gausdal, Oppland, Norway, son of Martin Paulsen Paulhougen and Eli Ellingsdatter. He came to America with his parents on “Flora”, which sailed from Christiania on 15 Jun 1849 and arrived at New York on 23 Aug 1849. They came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, later moving to Coon Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin. He was married in 1858 to Anne Larsdatter Thorsgaard. Civil War: Post war: He died 17 Sep 1884 and is buried in Coon Prairie Lutheran Cemetery. Sources: (Naeseth-Hedberg ’49-2970)
