WI 15th Inf Co F. Residence: Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Farmer. Age 24. Unmarried. Blue eyes, blond hair, fair complexion, 5’8½”. Enlisted for three years on 25 Oct 1861 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 12 Dec 1861. Designated Corporal 1 Jan 1862. Wounded at Stone’s River. Taken prisoner in the Battle of Chickamauga, Georgia, 20 Sep 1863. Died of Chronic Diarrhea in Prison No. 3 in Danville, Virginia, on 1 Apr 1864.
