WI 15th Inf Co G. Residence: Martell, Pierce County, Wisconsin. Born Amund Pedersen Busbergbjerget on 23 Nov 1843, at Østre Gausdal, Oppland, Norway, son of Peder Bertelsen Busbergbjerget and Mari Olsdatter Sønstegaard. He came to America with his parents and siblings on the bark Preciosa, which sailed from Drammen, Buskerud, on 2 Jun 1849 and arrived in New York on 26 Jul 1849. They came to Jedfferson County, Wisconsin, and moved about 1854 to Martell Township, Pierce County. Civil War: Age 19. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 11 Nov 1861 at Martell and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 13 Dec 1861. Private. Was with the provision transport from Stevenson, Alabama, in October 1863. Mustered out with Company G on 13 Jan 1865 at Chattanooga, Tennessee. Post war: He was married on 25 Apr 1869 to Karen Olsdatter Jahr. Six children.
