WI 24th Inf Co K. Residence: Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Age 30. Unmarried. Sailor. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’8”. Enlisted for three years on 20 Aug 1862 at Milwaukee and mustered there on 22 Aug 1862. Private. Was in the battle of Chaplain Hills. Taken prisoner in the battle of Stone’s River, 31 Dec 1862.
