STROMMEN, Jacob
Born “Jacob Kittilsen Strømmen” on 9 Jan 1841 at Kviteseid, Norway, son of Kittil Hansen Strømme and Dagne Jørgensdatter Flatland. He came to America with his parents and six siblings on “Tuskina”, which arrived in New York on 14 Aug 1843. They came to Christiana Township, Dane County, Wisconsin. By 1860, they were in Barre Township, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Civil War: He died of illness 28 Jul 1864 during the war. Sources: (Naeseth ’43-1367)
