Civil War: Enlisted for one year on 8 Mar 1862 at Stephenville. Private. Reenlisted for three years or the war on 20 Dec 1862 at Camp Salmon. Assigned as a blacksmith from 23 Apr to May 1863. Discharged 10 Jun 1863 after obtaining a substitute, Canute R. Skimland. Post war: Died 9 Oct 1871 at Norse, Bosque County, Texas.
