WI 12th Inf Co H. Residence: Christiania, Dane County, Wisconsin. Born 24 Jan 1836 in Lårdal, Telemark, Norway, son of Ole Wetlesen Qvaale and Thorbjor Sivertsdatter Tvedten. Came to America with his parents and two siblings on the “Industrie”, which sailed from Porsgrunn and reached New York on 12 Aug 1845. They settled in Christiania township, Dane County. Civil War: Post war: Married Ingebor. Buried at West Koshkonong, Wisconsin; stone reads “24 Jan 1836 – 20 May 1891”.
