Museum Tours
Guided tours of the museum’s Open Air Division are included with admission price and scheduled at 1:30 p.m. every afternoon from May 1 through Oct. 31.
Vesterheim welcomes special groups and bus tours, and tour guides for the inside of the Main Museum Building and the Open Air Division are available by appointment. We can customize a private tour for you, including our behind-the-scenes storage facilities, and make all of the arrangements just to your liking. Vesterheim is a national treasure that uses the Norwegian-American experience as a lens to explore the diversity of an immigrant nation. The lives of the people who settled this nation were often as colorful as their folk art and their stories speak through the objects they left behind. Guided tours bring the museum to life for our guests.
