JAGERSON, Andrew

WI 3rd Inf Co G. Residence: Neenah, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Born about 1841 in Norway. Civil War: Enlisted for three months on 20 Apr 1861 at Neenah. Private. Re-enlisted. Promoted to Corporal. Promoted to Sergeant. Taken prisoner on 25 May 1862. Wounded on 25 May 1864. On 12 Mar 1865, he was transferred to the Veterans Reserve Corps. Discharged for disability on 19 Aug 1865. Post war: Married to Cornelia Rugge on 3 Dec 1865. In 1883 he was living in Neenah and was receiving a pension of $4 a month for the loss of the index finger on his right hand.
