Vesterheim Benefit Auction

Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum is hosting its fifth biennial Benefit Auction to raise money for Vesterheim’s folk-art education progra. Some of the nation’s best folk artists have generously donated one-of-a-kind pieces to be auctioned. There will be silent and live auction pieces. These pieces will be on view in the Hauge Gallery of Vesterheim’s Westby-Torgerson Education Center, 502 West Water Street, Decorah, Iowa beginning on September 29. The education center will be open from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Individuals may bid on both live and silent auction pieces in person or from home. The items may be viewed on-line at this site beginning September 29.
Check out the pieces from the 2006 Benefit Auction. Thank you to all of the talented artists who donated their artwork and everyone who generously bid on items. It was a wonderfully fun, exciting, and successful event. Get ready for 2008!
