Four rugs from Vesterheim's collection are included in the exhibition, Standing on Tradition: Rag Rug Technique at the Minnesota Discovery Center. The exhibition includes more than 200 new and old rag rugs made in a variety of techniques. The rugs from Vesterheim are made by fletting (multi-strand braiding) and nålbinding (knotless netting or Swedish toothbrush technique).
