Barnetimen Children’s Hour – Explore Dolls

November 15, 2022 | 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Location: Museum's Main Building, 520 W. Water St.

Vesterheim welcomes preschoolers and their caregivers to Barnetimen Children’s Hour. Meet in the lobby of the museum’s Main Building to explore objects and stories in the museum’s collection and make fun art.

In November, we will be exploring Vesterheim’s exhibit Dolls: Playing With Identity. We’ll look at how artists tell stories with dolls by creatively using different materials. Participants will make dolls using their imaginations and an assortment of art materials.

Barnetimen programs are free and geared toward 3- to 5-year-olds, but all ages are welcome. New programs are offered in person at the museum the third Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., September through April.

No reservations are needed, but larger groups of 10 or more are asked to contact the museum the day before the program to help with planning. For more information, please contact Jennifer Kovarik, Vesterheim Collection Manager, 563-382-9681 or jkovarik@vesterheim.org.

This program is supported by generous gifts to the Vesterheim Annual Fund from David and Brenda Carlson and Jim Clarke, Norwegian Mutual Insurance Association.

Program supporter Brenda Carlson greets children at Barnetimen.
