New Nordic Cuisine, an innovative exhibit about one of the most influential global food movements of the 21st century, closed at Vesterheim on September 6. Before it’s closing Vesterheim hosted an on-site reception and gallery talk with Tova Brandt, Executive Director and Albert Ravenholt Curator of Danish-American Culture at the Museum of Danish America in Elk Horn, Iowa, and, curator of this traveling exhibit.
Guests enjoyed a lovely evening with a pop-up farmer’s market, local beer from Pulpit Rock Brewing Co., and special treats from Vesterheim’s volunteer Hospitality Committee.
Vesterheim is grateful to exhibit sponsors Jon and Mary Hart, Jim and Marge Iversen, Philip and Sarah Iversen, John and Birgitte Christianson, and Tom and Linda Brandt. The exhibit is on loan from the Museum of Danish America.
