The smells and flavors of food and cooking connect us to tradition in powerful ways. Cooking, and Nordic cooking in particular, also provide fertile ground for creating exciting new traditions around food. From lefse and krumkake to graslok and gastrique, Vesterheim’s offerings in Nordic cooking include opportunities to both explore traditions and exercise creativity. Vesterheim’s cooking classes are unique in that they focus on small group sizes to provide experiences for students to interact directly with the chef or instructor, ask questions, and get direct feedback.
