Aleta Chossek is a storyteller at heart and believes that we learn from one another’s stories. She began writing personal essays and family stories after a career in not for profit administration. A graduate of Luther College, she studied in the International Summer School at Blindern in Oslo and lived for several moths with extended family in Forde, Norway. A wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Aleta has connected more deeply with friends and family members through the telling of her grandmother and mother’s journey to America. In addition to Kristine Finding Home, she has contributed to Family Stories from The Attic and received recognition in the Jade Ring contest of the Wisconsin Writer’s Association. Currently she is writing about the meaning of her time in the Meru region of Northern Tanzania. She lives, loves, and writes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband Walt.
