Charlene Lynum started chip carving around 1985. She enjoys how a simple object can be chip-carved and transformed into something beautiful and elegant. She believes that chip carving is more than a craft, it is an art. Charlene has published a book through Fox Chapel Publishing titledChip Carving Starter Guide. She is a regular contributor toWoodcarving Illustrated. In 2022 she became a Gold Medalist in woodworking at Vesterheim.
