After having learned three languages by the time she was a teenager, language has been a key theme throughout Elisabeth Berg’s career. Elisabeth has retired from teaching Norwegian at the University of Zürich but finds herself still enjoying translating, teaching, and learning the North Sámi language.

Berg’s occupation with languages has been and still is opening doors to many interesting projects. She has helped plan conferences and been part of film and music projects, and she remains dedicated to organizing courses and concerts for Sámi artists abroad.
