Janelle Storesund is a textile artist and software engineer based in the NYC area and Hordaland, Norway. She is interested in old textile tools, street fashion, and traditional folk dress. She questions whether old technology can find a place in a new, increasingly automated world by exploring the intimate relationship between craftspeople and the materials they use. A few techniques she focuses on are knitting, sprang, and yarn spinning. Aside from textiles, she and her partner are restoring an 18th century farmhouse in Sunnhordland, Norway.
