Rachel Peterson‘s professional background is in child/youth rights, advocacy, and policy, and she has worked both abroad and in her home state of Minnesota. She currently lives in Minneapolis but has spent almost a decade living, studying, and working in Norway. Rachel’s first year in Norway was her senior year of high school, where she lived with a wonderful host family in Alta as an AFS exchange student. She fell in love with the far northern part of the country and, after receiving her BA from Luther College, pursued graduate studies at Norway’s Arctic University in Tromsø. Upon finishing her degree, Rachel was offered a position with Save the Children in Norway and stayed for another six years.
