Every year Vesterheim is happy to bring in various talented interns who help with specific programs and departments.
This summer Adrienne Clefisch is Vesterheim’s rockstar intern at the Folk Art School. She is in the class of 2023 at Luther College, majoring in political science with minors in environmental studies and religion. Here at the museum, she has been a HUGE help in organizing the National Norwegian-American Folk Art Exhibition! Look for her this fall when she stays on at Vesterheim to assist the Folk Art School with ongoing projects and lead the afterschool Friluftsliv Klubb for kids.
In her spare time she enjoys painting, lino cutting, and dabbling on the banjo. She loves hiking and backpacking, most recently visiting Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. She hopes to use her education and experience to further her nonprofit career and someday return to Decorah where her family and friends live.
