Decorah songleader Liz Rog gathered some music lovers to share songs in the Koselig exhibit on February’s Free First Thursday.
Liz believes that everyone can sing and loves to lead singing for groups of ordinary people in public places. She uses group singing as a tool for building community and for restoring our sense of belonging and connection in the world. She believes that when we sing together in simple harmony, we build bridges of acceptance, compassion, and joy. We were excited that Liz wanted to add singing events to our Koselig exhibit programs and she included a few Norwegian tunes! Watch for announcements of future singing gatherings with Liz at Vesterheim. Everyone is welcome to join in or come and listen.
