Join Dan Bussey, one of America’s premier apple experts, for a special Norwegian apple-grafting workshop!
We were inspired to offer this workshop by Knud Knudsen’s incredible black and white photos of orchards that you can see in the exhibit Rocks and Hard Places: Emigration through the Lens of Knud Knudsen, open now at Vesterheim through December 31.
Workshop participants will learn how to graft three Norwegian apple varieties, which they can bring home to start their own orchards. The workshop is free, but you must register in advance. Space is limited, so call 563-382-9681 to reserve a spot today!
Bussey, widely regarded as one of America’s leading apple historians, regularly lectures on apple history and teaches grafting workshops all over the country. He recently completed publishing The Illustrated History of Apples of the United States and Canada, a seven volume encyclopedia of apples in North America.
